As the days are getting longer, and the warmth returns, it's natural that our thoughts turn to summer. We begin to fantasize more, thinking of holidays, long summer days, barbecues of the back deck, days at the beach under blue skies, warm summer evening walks, working the garden, ice cream, and sitting outside.

TANJA GROOS
In summer, we see the power of our Earth. The rejuvenation, the rebuilding, the growth. Part of my Earth series, this piece explores the idea that our connection with our planet is an honest one in that our actions are reflected by it. We cannot hide from the truth of our environmental actions. Disappearing species, shrinking forests, disjointed ecosystems are explored via mixed media and acrylic paint. This series expresses my passion for the magnificence of our natural world, and my hope that as a global family we preserve it. Its beauty is our beauty.

LISA MACDONALD
The best part of summer is the scenery. The colorful flowers, the green trees and the wild life we come across. I like the freshness of spring and the colors of fall but I wish it would remain summer all year. I would never get tired of green and warmth. Here are three of my favorite things flowers, rivers and creatures.

FRANCA MARAZIA
For me as a photographer, it is the emotional content in an image which is the most important element, regardless of the photographic technique.

  • Contemplation

Water Is Life Series: "Contemplation"

Photography
12" x 18 " (matted to 18" x 24")

  • Whitewater

Photography
12" x 18 " (matted to 18" x 24")
Unframed $75.00/framed $150.00

Captured on the shores of Lake Ontario at Confederation Beach Park in Hamilton. Blue is universally associated with clean water, clear skies, and tranquillity. It is no wonder that the colour blue continues to be the favorite among all ages and genders. The sound of waves crashing on the shores is one of the most relaxing sounds on Earth.

  • Sunset Boulevard

Water Is Life Series: "Sunset Boulevard"

Photography

Unframed $75.00/framed $150.00

Captured this stunning sunset at the West Harbour in Hamilton. The West Harbour is the area bounded by Hamilton Harbour, York Boulevard, Cannon Street and Wellington Street. This is one of my favorite spots to explore with my camera as there is always plenty of activity on the water and on the pathways.
