Summer is the warmest season of the year, when nature shows its uncanny ability to bring life to the land. It brings back outdoor social activities where people have picnics, visit beaches and parks, and relax and unwind under clear skies. It's a season that brings bright and longer days, which exposes the beauty of nature, grasses are green, flowers bloom and myriad birds and animals, and it brings blossoming to the fields.

Krystyna Smolen
Summer!!! Warm, lazy, sunny days again... absolutely my favorite... There is nothing better than dreaming in the green paradise, surfing on open water or spending romantic night at the lake watching the Moon "bathing" in the lake emerald water... Those are my inspirations for my painting.

Jolanta Stanisz
Jolanta Stanisz spent much of her early life in Cracow, Poland. She studied Art and Science in University and her career eventually brought her to Canada. While raising young children and working in the field of Biomedical Sciences, she took some evening art classes at the Dundas Valley School of Art. After retirement, she was able to devote more time to art by taking more classes and by doing independent work.

Currently, she does a few paintings a week and is very passionate about her work. She uses acrylics in a variety of colours to create contemporary pieces of either landscape scenery, which she adapts from photographs or pictures, or still life objects. Jolanta uses art as a way to express herself and her love of nature. She adds her own interpretation to the paintings she creates and in doing so, is able to tell a story.
