Art education programs for women within Hamilton and surrounding regions (defined as the City of Hamilton, City of Burlington, Haldimand Region, Brantford and Brant Region and Niagara Region).

Eligibility for Scholarship Funding

Because WAAH receives funding requests far in excess of what we are able to support, we must often decline even very worthy candidates. This does not reflect in any way on the organization or its students, but rather is a result of the volume of requests for support, and the limitations on our resources. There are a number of limitations which generally govern our contributions and restrict or prohibit our support.

Awards are to provide assistance and encouragement to promising young students challenged by the costs of education. In all cases, the funds are paid directly to the student's educational institution on his or her behalf.

December 31 — submission deadline

New applications will be considered each year. To ensure consideration, PDF submissions should be sent by email to by December 31; funding decisions will be released by April 30. Applications received after the December 31 deadline may be considered at WAAH's discretion.
