Franca Marazia Biography
Franca Marazia lives in Hamilton, Ontario. She is a multi-genre photographer. Architecture, bicycles, candid shots, everyday objects, fall colours, historic sites, secret gardens, street scenes and waterscapes are favorite themes in her collection of images. According to Franca, it is the emotional content in an image which is the most important element, regardless of the photographic technique.
Professional affiliations include membership in the following groups: The Artist/Artisan Collective at “Textures Craftworks” in Hamilton; the Art Gallery of Hamilton Volunteer Committee; “Art in the Workplace” Board at McMaster Innovation Park; the Latow Photography Guild at the Art Gallery of Burlington; the Retired Teachers of Ontario; and, the Women’s Art Association of Hamilton.
For the past ten years, Franca has been actively involved in the arts community in the Hamilton area. In 2018, she was nominated for a Hamilton Arts Award by an established photographer.
