Cheryl-Ann Hills Biography
A native of Kitchener Waterloo Cheryl has been living and working in Hamilton for 23 years.
She began oil painting at the age of 16 with Michael Roth, a well-known Canadian landscape painter. She attended an arts program at Georgian College in Owen Sound, Ontario. Today, she spends most of her time creating fine art, developing online art workshops, and providing graphic design services to clients across North America in her home based art studio.
Deeply curious about the natural world, Cheryl prefers to carve her own path through the forest and her unique perspective is clearly reflected in her work. Visual art creation allows Cheryl to express deep thoughts and feelings that contribute to her sense of well being. Cheryl believes being an artist is not a job but a lifestyle. And this lifestyle keeps her the happiest and healthiest.
Using a mix of mediums both traditional and non-traditional, Cheryl creates dramatic landscapes that play and explore colour, light, and textures. Her graphic design work also reflects her love of nature often incorporating organic forms in her work.
At present, Cheryl continues to grow her fine art business continuously seeking out new opportunities to show her work to local and world-wide audiences.
