Eva Ivanov Biography

Canadian visual artist Eva Ivanov applies her life-long fascination with water and light to create watercolour paintings that celebrate the relationships of space, colour and movement in the natural world. Recently using 'stone' papers enables rich organic expressionist results, with movement, mystery, and mood.

Leaving behind a corporate career in the financial sector and an adjunct career in theatre arts in Toronto in 2010, the migration to Hamilton in 2012, afforded her the opportunity to operate her own gallery and studio space on Catharine Street North, Gooderham Gallery and Fine Art Studio, engaging in producing watercolour works as a full time career.

She has been the recipient of several awards in juried art exhibitions, most recently an Honourable Mention for the 2016 WAAH Juried Exhibition, and various theatre awards for Directing. She is a past member of the Toronto Watercolour Society, CARFAC, Central Ontario Artists Association, Women's Art Association of Hamilton, Franklin Carmichael Art Group, and Hamilton Artists Inc.

Through the WAAH, and Central Ontario Art Association, and Franklin Carmichael she has exhibited and sold at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Hamilton Conservatory of the Arts, Hamilton Artists Inc., Cambridge City Hall, Toronto City Hall, and Etobicoke Civic Centre, as well as many other galleries, venues, and outdoor art festivals, since 2006.
