CRAFTERNOONS - QUILLING
For February, Karen Logan presented and demonstrated the ancient art of "Quilling". Using thin strips of coloured paper and a special "quilling" tool, the paper is rolled, shaped, and glued to form various designs. The origin of this crafts name of "Quilling", is thought to have come from using bird's feathers or quills. Karen introduced Helena, Wendy, and me to another new WAAH member, Karen Thompson. She resides in Hamilton and enjoys watercolour painting. Thank you, President Karen for a delightful time! ¦ Submitted by Janet Kahl, WAAH, Vice-President.
