Wendy Dougan began her painting hobby after retiring from a bank. She has taken a variety of interesting art classes that include drawing, watercolour and acrylic painting. These classes and workshops were held at the AGH, DVSA, RBG, Sackville Hill Seniors Rec Centre and The Back Alley Gallery.

In the past, Wendy has volunteered as Membership Chair, frequently attends the Women’s Art Association of Hamilton events and recommends members to join in on the docent guided AGH monthly tours.

Wendy has exhibited her work through WAAH’s group exhibitions at the Cotton Factory and at the Carnegie Gallery in Dundas. Also she has been accepted into exhibits held at Art in the Workplace and Art at Seven Innovation.

Currently, she can be found painting “Friends of Friends - Pet Portraits” in her home studio.
